Exciting news at Playford College! Our new Year 7 to 12 teaching and learning facilities on the corner of Woodford and Dauntsey Roads have been completed! Students are thriving in their new facilities and the whole school community has been invigorated.

The South Australian Minister for Education, Blair Boyer, officially opened the new ‘Barakaland’ playground in a fantastic ceremony. The students are loving the new structures and line up every day to use them!

Thank you for your interest in Playford College

We are a young and vibrant school community in Elizabeth who focuses on Learning, Faith and Nurture for every child. We strive to develop children and young people to be confident, curious, and resilient. We want our children to be able to follow the pathway of their choice as well as positively contribute to the broader community.

Staff at Playford College care for all children and are very aware of developing the whole child. Class teachers have comprehensive understanding of how children learn best and are also well informed about current research on ‘wellbeing’. We have a team of talented and passionate people who work together to nurture students and families.

We have an amazing team who support children with learning needs, both in the class and out of the classroom to support their learning. This team includes those committed to giving our children who are learning English as another language every opportunity to be successful as we provide intensive MiniLit and MacqLit sessions.

We know that excellence in teaching is the single most powerful influence on children’s learning. Our Primary School staff work in teaching teams and are always on the lookout for innovative teaching practices that will improve student learning. Our Secondary School teachers continue to seek innovative ways to make learning accessible and rigorous during their specialist lessons.

We believe that children learn through inquiry and we know that our brains need to make connections to achieve lifelong learning. We endeavour to create children and young people who are critical and creative thinkers and are able to problem solve. These skills are transferable to adult lives.

Playford College is pleased to be the first Islamic school in South Australia, and the third in Australia, to support the Jaafari School of Thoughts traditions whilst also encouraging families from other faith traditions to attend.

Playford College is worth a visit. We hope you can make time to come and tour. Feel free to contact our enrolments officer, Tahira Jafari via email on  tahira.jafari@playfordcollege.sa.edu.au to book your own personal tour or phone 82523044. We look forward to welcoming  you to Playford College.
